Development of Teachers' Self-Efficacy for Homework Management Scale

Introduction. Homework is one of the daily assessment methods used by classroom teacher. In literature, there are many studies dealing with homework management from perspectives students and parents. However, concerning teachers' self-efficacy for scarce. This study aimed at developing validating a scale measuring management. Method. A descriptive research design was employed in this study. The participants were 127 teachers randomly selected educational governorate Sultanate Oman. literature reviewed to construct 20 items reflecting various aspects implementation. responses subjected validation process. Results. Factorial structure revealed three subscales: efficacy planning designing homework; monitoring, assessing, providing feedback on considering individual differences homework. subscales showed acceptable evidence validity reliability. Discussion Conclusion. psychometric analysis teachers’ that reliable measures These results support usefulness using as an tool purposes professional development teachers. present new knowledge about being salient factor.
